 Welcome Minimize

Welcome to the Caparea.NET SharePoint SIG!
The SharePoint Special Interest Group (SSIG) is focused on delivering the content the users want.  While the SharePoint platform is extensive, we plan to deliver speakers able to address a wide variety of topics, including development, information architecture, user experience, governance and infrastructure.  All these components come together to create the best SharePoint experience.

Speakers
We are always on the lookout for people to speak at our events.  If you have a topic you would like to present, please contact us.

Topics
Be one the lookout for SharePoint 2010!  It will be released by Microsoft in the first quarter of 2010 but the technical preview is out there and being reviewed by some of our local experts.
If you have a particular topic you would like to have covered please contact us and we will work to have it added into our upcoming events.

We hope to see you soon!

Data Access Techniques in SharePoint 2010 - February 10th Minimize
Jim Mullennix

SharePoint 2010 has a host of new features and new and better ways to do things than we currently do in MOSS.  We’ll give an overview of many of the new features, paying special attention to data access topics, such as large list support, Business Connectivity Services, Linq, REST, and the new Client Object Model.

Jim Mullennix is a Senior Solutions Architect for Applied Information Sciences (AIS).  He has over 6 years experience in the SharePoint realm dating back to the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Beta days and has been participating in a TAP project with SharePoint 2010 for over a year.  At AIS, Jim is a member of the Corporate Technology Staff, specializing in SharePoint related technologies, helping AIS stay on the cutting edge of SharePoint development and providing guidance to AIS customers.
