Our client is a wholly-owned subsidiary of one of the largest asset management companies in the world. They are seeking a highly motivated individual to develop and maintain web-based applications that will run on their Intranet and Extranet sites.

Successful candidates must be comfortable working INDEPENDENTLY in a small team environment with little oversight. Candidates must be experienced with all aspects/phases of the application development process from meeting with clients to gathering requirements to generating deployment artifacts to pushing applications into production to providing application support.

Candidates must be: intellectually curious; able to learn quickly; willing to acquire new skills regularly; and eager to research new technologies.

REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 4+ years development experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience maintaining a DotNetNuke based web site (version 4.1 or higher) and building custom modules.

• Deep and broad knowledge of C#, .Net, ASP.NET, CSS, AJAX, Visual Studio.Net 2005, relational database design, and SOAP-based web services design and development

• Excellent Web UI design skills and a familiarity with common usability standards

• Experience creating complex SSRS reports and SSIS packages for SQL Server 2005

• Familiarity with Windows 2003, IIS 6.0

• Knowledge of Agile concepts and principles

• Excellent communication skills

PLUSES:

• Experience with .NET 3.5, ASP.NET 2.0, VS.NET 2005, Team Foundation Server, InfoPath, LINQ, Visual Studio 2008, Cruise Control

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Linux, Apache, MySQL or Postgres, Python, Java, PHP, Selenium

• Experience with Scrum and TDD

• Basic understanding of Services Oriented Architecture (SOA)

• Experience in the financial services space, specifically asset management
